It is always so exciting to be able to witness, first-hand, the great creatures of the world. Some are large and powerful while others are small and shy. All are beautiful and unique, however... and are a thrill to photograph. Images from this gallery were captured in the wilderness of Wyoming, the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the Smoky Mountains, the redwood forests of California and in the heart of the Alaskan tundra. -JH
